Position Summary:

Will coordinate and provide technical assistance

and support through the Texas Mother-Friendly Worksite Technical Assistance and

Support Program (TMFW-TASP) for employers participating in the Texas

Mother-Friendly Worksite Program. Will coordinate and manage a strategic plan

of direct outreach to select job sectors. Provides supervision to team of

TMFW-TASP graduate research assistants that assist with technical assistance

and support activities. Plans and coordinates outreach and promotional events

for TMFW. Will provide management support as needed for the Maternal Child

Health Training Program.

Position Key Accountabilities:

  • Providessupport to employers seeking designation as a Texas Mother-Friendly Worksite.

  • Communicateswith employers via phone and email regularly.

  • Supports project management processes and toolsused by team.

  • Providesday-to-day supervision to TMFW-TASP graduate assistants responsible fortechnical assistance and support activities.

  • Works under supervision of project director ofTMFW-TASP and supports operational management.

  • Coordinates outreach activities such as eventplanning, conference exhibitions, and direct outreach activities.

  • Assists in the preparation of progress reportsto funding organization.

  • Supports management of online content forTMFW-TASP

  • Assists with grant proposals to both privatefoundations and government agencies.

  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

  • Working knowledge of MS Office.


  • Enthusiastic about working with data

  • Experience providing technical support

  • Project management education and experience

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, tasks, and deadlines.

  • Customer service experience

  • Excellent teamwork and leadership skills

  • Ability to solve problems independently

  • Data managementexperience

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four years of experience in lieu of degree.MPHpreferred

Preferred Minimum Experience:

  • Atleast two years of experience in a school research environment

Physical Requirements:

Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.

This position may include work involving potentially hazardous chemical, biological or radioactive agents.
