Under clearly defined supervision, performs a variety of basic to moderately complex clerical tasks to support assigned area.Assists with admissions to prospective and
existing students throughout the academic year. Assist with student activities Assists
with coordinating advising process and proctoring needs.
Position Key Accountabilities:
Assist Academic Admission Advisor with admissionprocess for Prospective students
Assistwith student activities including student orientation, commencement, openhouses, receptions, tours.
Assistwith proctoring exam and quizzes.
Serveas Front desk receptionist.
Maintains office supplies and equipment.
Other duties as assigned.
Basic knowledge of standard Office Software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook is required.
Strong interpersonal, written and verbal skills and the ability to work with diverse populations are important for the successful candidate. Ability to make general decisions requiring a comprehensive knowledge of a wide range of regulations, policies, procedures and practices. Generally requires use of strong organizational skills, initiative and independent judgment. Ability to work flexible hours as late as 6:00pm
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Currently enrolled or will be enrolled in Bachelor’s Degree Program or
One (1) year related work experience required. May substitute required experience with equivalent years of education beyond the minimum education requirement.
Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
This job class may contain positions that are security sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of Texas Education Code § 51.215
