The Department of Neurobiology and Anatomy at McGovern Medical School atUTHealth Houstonseeks two tenure-track investigators. Candidates in all disciplines of neuroscience applying innovative approaches to understand cellular, synaptic, or circuit function in health, aging, and neurodegenerative diseases are encouraged to apply.

McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston is located within theTexas Medical Centerand its very rich and collaborative neuroscience community, includingThe University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Baylor College of Medicine, Rice University, and theUniversity of Houston.

Position Key Accountabilities:

The appointed individuals will be expected to develop a strong, independent research program, establish interdisciplinary collaborations, and secure extramural funding. Additionally, they will be expected to contribute to our departmental teaching mission and mentor graduate students, medical students, and postdoctoral fellows.
