Position Summary:

Plans, organizes and coordinates project management activities across a variety of areas, Operations, and all areas associated with the project in order to ensure the implementation of projects in a manner that maintains within budget, on-schedule, and of the highest quality.

Position Key Accountabilities:

  1. Provide on-site leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones.

  2. Full project lifecycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one major or several minor initiatives simultaneously.

  3. Actively participates in establishing practices, templates/policies, project documentation, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization.

  4. Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence.

  5. Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

  6. Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.

  7. Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals.

  8. Prepare detailed project plan for all phases of the project.

  9. Coordination and management of project planning, project development, and strategic planning among various staff and determines proper project delivery methods.

  10. Understand interdependencies between IT, operations and business needs needed to achieve project success.

  11. Monitor, track and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies and critical path deliverables.

  12. Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating across project stakeholders and leadership.

  13. Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project and program team, analyze results and troubleshoot problem areas.

  14. Oversee and manage project processes to include estimation, design, scheduling, quality assurance, communication, and procurement.

  15. Meets financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing project budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; and initiating corrective actions.

  16. Ensures project controls, tracking and performance measurement, and reporting and product delivery objectives are met.

  17. May manage Human Resources activities for direct reports in regards to: recruiting and selection, hiring and termination, training, professional development, mentoring, counseling, performance evaluations, and salary planning.

  18. Performs other duties as assigned.

Certification/Skills:

Advanced experience in Microsoft Office products

Experience with project specific software and systems

Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred

Minimum Education:

Bachelor’s degree in project management, leadership and planning, administration, or related field.

Minimum Experience:

Seven years of experience in project management.

Physical Requirements:

Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.

Residency Requirement:
