UTHealth Houston is looking for a seasonal employee to be a Supply Chain Management Intern. This role will be paid hourly and is not eligible for benefits. This seasonal position is designed to last only four or five months at most.


The Supply Chain Intern will be responsible for assisting the supply chain team in meeting departmental objectives. This individual will have the opportunity to become an instrumental part of the daily supply chain activities, including contract reviewing, requisition and purchase order maintenance, pricing negotiations, and supplier management.


• Assist/Support the Purchasing department on a daily basis.

• Assist in reviewing TCM contracts and conduct an internal audit on high-dollar dollar, high-risk contracts.

• Access and navigate Coupa and Jaggaer Contract Management applications.

• Participate in weekly supply planning meetings.

• Generate process and procedure documents for critical supply chain functions.


• Undergraduate business student with/or pursuing a major in Supply Chain Management.

• Solid analytical skills and self-motivation.

• Ability to effectively communicate to all levels of the organization.

• Willingness to work in a team environment.

• Handle multiple activities simultaneously and ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks.

• Proficient user of Microsoft Office Tools: Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

• Local candidate to work an estimated 20 hours per week
