Utilizing analytical and data management tools, performs intermediate to advanced level data creation, management, analysis and troubleshooting activities in support of multiple financial, operational and/or research projects and studies. Performs statistical analyses associated with projects. Ensures data management complies with all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations as well as institutional requirements, policies and procedures.
Position Key Accountabilities:
Ability to understand and conduct basic data analysis and to create and maintain reports to support contact investigation and tracing efforts.
Communicate with Supervisors, Program Managers, and related faculty to take initial reporting and analytics requirements to build progressive, insightful and clear reporting as needed.
Continually identify process improvement opportunities and report elimination / consolidation opportunities to simplify, streamline, and improve case investigation and contact tracing.
Being able to keep plans on track and to accurately and timely report on key metrics to support decision making through scheduled and ad-hoc reporting.
Assists training efforts for staff using data-driven reporting metrics as needed.
Provide data reports to support quality assurance and continuous quality improvement efforts and funding agency requirements.
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving data inaccuracies or anomalies.
Ability to communicate information orally and in writing in a way that is understandable for multiple different audiences, including to those with limited data knowledge or experience.
Help with research and writing articles for peer-reviewed publication in journals
Performs other duties as assigned.
Detailed knowledge of query design, report creation, and graphic representations of data.
Knowledge and experience managing complex databases.
Experience providing analysis of data.
Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or related field.
Three (3) years of experience with complex databases.
Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects. This position may include work involving potentially hazardous chemical, biological or radioactive agents.
This job class may contain positions that are security sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of Texas Education Code § 51.215
