Position Summary:

Produces radiographs of various portions of the body according to physician’s request.

Position Key Accountabilities:

  1. Develops radiographs using an automatic processor and checks for desired results.

  2. Forwards radiographs to the radiologist for review and interpretation. Produces radiographs in satellite facilities.

  3. Maintains quality assurance on all radiological equipment. Cleans and maintains processors.

  4. Ensures and assists in the accurate timing and positioning techniques.

  5. Processes the necessary paperwork for billing purposes and accepts payment.

  6. Assists in training new Radiologic Technician I’s.

  7. Adheres to laboratory safety procedures.

  8. Must be able to respond to emergency situations.

  9. Other duties as assigned.


Current licensure as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) by the Texas Medical Board and Registered Radiologic Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).

Minimum Education:

Graduate from an approved two year program in Radiologic technology.

Minimum Experience:

One year experience in radiology technology.

Physical Requirements:

Exerts up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds frequently and/or up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects.
