McGovern Medical School atUTHealth Houston, a leading academic health center, invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure clinical track as an Assistant Professor in Allergy and Immunology in theDepartment of Pediatrics,Division of Pulmonary/Allergy-Immunology/Sleep.

The selected candidate will contribute to the department’s mission to educate health science professionals, discover and translate advances in the biomedical and social sciences, and model the best practices in clinical care and public health through clinical service, teaching, research, administrative activities, and other services.

Position Key Accountabilities:

The Assistant Professor in Pediatrics-Allergy/Immunology will provide direct patient care in a clinic and hospital setting through:

  • Providing comprehensive services in allergy and immunology, including patients with primary immunodeficiency

  • Providing services such as immediate hypersensitivity skin testing, immunotherapy, desensitization, and food challenges

  • Collaborating with a senior allergist-immunologist and pediatric pulmonary specialists within the division, and other members of the patient’s care team.

  • Participating in the education and training of medical students, residents, and staff.

Qualifications:

  • Texas Medical License or eligible for a Texas Faculty Temporary License

  • Board Certified in Pediatrics and Board Certified or eligible to be board certified in Allergy and Immunology.
