The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth), a leading academic health center-McGovern Medical School invites applications for a full-time non-tenure Assistant Professor faculty position in the Advanced Cardiopulmonary Therapies and Transplantation (ACTAT)- EP Heart Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Program.
Position Key Accountabilities:
Examining and treating disorders and diseases of the cardiovascular conduction system. These include but are not limited to conditions such as atrial and ventricular arrhythmias as well as heart blocks.
Diagnosing and managing patients both in outpatient and inpatient settings.
Performing various advanced and complex cardiac procedures to normalize abnormal heart rhythms as well as procedures such as placement of permanent pacemakers, cardiac defibrillators and devices for cardiac resynchronization therapy.
Consulting with patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment.
Recommending and ordering tests to determine extent of illness or helping diagnose condition.
Traveling to other clinical locations in and around Houston as well as outreach clinics in Texas.
Texas medical license or be eligible to be licensed
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology (CCEP).
