The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth), a leading academic health center - McGovern Medical School invites applicants for one full time non-tenure position at the Assistant position level in the Department of Emergency Medicine.
This faculty position is responsible for the effective delivery of high quality medical services to individuals served by Memorial Hermann TMC, Memorial Hermann Memorial City and/or Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Pediatric Emergency Centers.
Position Key Accountabilities:
The faculty member's duties include, direct delivery of medical care, working concert with other members of a multi-disciplinary treatment team, including consultants, when necessary, and participation in the quality assurance activities of the department. The faculty member reports to the medical director but is expected to practice independently. He/she must be able to practice high-quality, evidence-based medicine, in a manner that supports the needs of the child and her/his family.
Candidates must have a medical degree and be licensed to practice medicine in the state of Texas (or eligible to be licensed). Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Pediatric Emergency Medicine is required.
