The Division of Renal Diseases and Hypertension, in the Department of Internal Medicine at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston - McGovern Medical School, is seeking applicants for a full-time clinical faculty in the division at the level of Assistant Professor. The selected candidate will contribute to the department’s mission to educate health science professionals and model the best practices in clinical care through: teaching, clinical service, administrative activities, and other services.

Position Key Accountabilities:

  • Participating in the Nephrology patient care duties in both inpatient and outpatient facilities. Locations include Memorial Hermann Hospital - Texas Medical Center and Lyndon B Johnson Hospital

  • Participating in the education of residents, fellows, and medical students

  • Supporting the growth and development of clinical and collaborative research

  • Supporting the development of Renal Transplant Fellowship

Qualifications:

Candidate should have an M.D. or equivalent degree, be eligible for licensure in the state of Texas and be board certified in Nephrology. Experience is preferred but not required.
