McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth), a leading academic health center, invites applications for a full-time, Assistant Professor (non-tenure clinical track) faculty position in the Department of Neurosurgery. We are seeking a neurosurgeon specializing in neuroendovascular and spine surgery.

The selected candidate will contribute to the department's mission to focus on the highest quality care and achieving the best outcomes, the best service and achieving the highest patient and referring doctor satisfaction, innovation and testing of new ideas, the advancement of medicine and setting new standards of care, and teaching the next generation to be the best.

Position Key Accountabilities:

The Rank of Assistant Professor will be responsible for continued development at our Southwest campus, performing both neurosurgical and endovascular procedures and participating in the call schedule.

The selected candidate will be participating in the Neuroscience Associates practice at Southeast campus; including, developing an spine program, teaching residents, and will be an integral part of our academic Department.


The selected candidate for the position must have a Texas Medical License or be eligible for a Texas Faculty Temporary License. Candidates must be either Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurosurgery.

Applicants must possess an advanced fellowship in neuroendovascular and spine surgery. CAST certification is preferred.
