The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) School of Public Health is currently accepting applications to fill a full-time, 12-month non-tenure-track teaching faculty position at the level of Assistant Professor of Instruction in the Department of Biostatistics and Data Science.

Position Key Accountabilities:

This position is expected to teach biostatistics courses per year, with at least 4 of those introductory biostatistics courses per year, with at least 4 of those in introductory biostatistics courses, and minimum service task. This is a 3-year appointment with possibility of renewal, and potentials of promotion to the level of Associate and Full Professor of Instruction.

Qualifications:

A PhD degree in biostatistics, statistics or related disciplines is required. The candidate must have a strong interest in teaching, enthusiasm to work with students, and provide evidence of teaching excellence with good communication skills. Preference will be given to candidates who wish to focus their careers on the development and practicing of innovative teaching strategies and novel pedagogic technologies. A teaching statement is required for application consideration.
