McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth), a leading academic health center, invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure clinical track as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics-Palliative Care.
The selected candidate will contribute to the department’s mission to educate health science professionals, discover and translate advances in the biomedical and social sciences, and model the best practices in clinical care and public health through research, teaching, clinical service, administrative activities, and other service.
Position Key Accountabilities:
Direct patient care in a clinic and hospital setting
Highest level of patient care for those suffering from chronic illnesses.
Close collaboration with each patient’s primary care provider and other faculty to assist in pain and symptom management.
Participation in the education and training of medical students and residents.
The selected candidate for the position must have a Texas Medical License or be eligible for a Texas Faculty Temporary License. Applicants must be Board Certified or eligible to be board certified.
