The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth), a leading academic health center, is seeking a board-certified Breast Imager for a faculty position in the Department of Diagnostic and Interventional Imaging at McGovern Medical School.
McGovern Medical School primarily provides imaging services at Memorial Hermann Hospital in the Texas Medical Center and LBJ Hospital in the Harris Health Hospital System. The Breast Imaging section performs mammograms, breast ultrasound and MRI, imaging-guided breast biopsies and wire localization and ductography. The Breast Imaging section faculty perform a total of approximately 26,444 examinations and procedures per year.
Position Key Accountabilities:
Candidate will be responsible for the performing and interpretation of all breast imaging procedures. In addition, will be responsible for the teaching of any medical students, residents or fellows that rotate on this service.
Candidates must be ABR certified and CAQ certified or eligible. Candidates should have experience and expertise in protocoling, supervising, interpreting all breast imaging studies and perform all breast interventional procedures. The position involves teaching of residents, fellows and medical students. Evidence of scholarship is desirable. Academic activities are strongly encouraged and supported. Must be able to obtain Texas medical licensure.
