McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth), a leading academic health center, invites applications for a full-time, (1.0 FTE), non-tenure clinical track for all academic levels for General Anesthesia faculty position in the Department of Anesthesiology, The selected candidate must demonstrate a commitment to excellence, discovery and service, have potential to be outstanding in their field of expertise, and share an interest in fulfilling the common goals of McGovern Medical School at UTHealth.

Position Key Accountabilities:

Successful candidate will be responsible for teaching residents and medical students the skills and theory of this specialty and clinical activities in the operating room.

Qualifications:

The selected candidate for the position must have a Texas Medical License or be eligible for a Texas for a Faculty Temporary License. Preferred board certification in Anesthesiology or board eligible status. Candidates should have a M.D. or D.O. degree, four years of training: 1 year of internship in any accredited internship program and 3 years of anesthesiology residency. Candidate should possess excellent clinical skills. Simulation teaching would be a great plus.
