Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) is seeking an board-certified
Pediatric Radiologist for a faculty position in the Department of Diagnostic
& Interventional Imaging. The rank
for this position will be commensurate with experience, with the potential for
promotion to Section Chief .
McGovern Medical School primarily provides imaging services at Memorial Hermann Hospital in the Texas Medical Center. The 270 bed Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital provides a full range of pediatric care, including the latest advances in maternal-fetal medicine and neonatal critical care services, and renowned programs in pediatric trauma, neurosciences, pulmonology and cardiac care. The department also serves the Lyndon B. Johnson General Hospital of the Harris County Hospital District and Shriner’s Orthopedic Hospital. The Pediatric division performs approximately 62,000 examinations per year between the three facilities.
Position Key Accountabilities:
This position will be reading and interpreting radiologic exams and procedures in pediatric radiology including the latest advances in maternal-fetal medicine and neonatal critical care services, and renowned programs in pediatric trauma, neurosciences, pulmonology and cardiac care as they relate to pediatric radiology. The position involves teaching of residents, fellows and medical students.
Candidates must be ABR certified and CAQ certified or eligible. Candidates should have experience and expertise in pediatric ultrasound, CT, MRI, and general diagnostic imaging. We are particularly interested in candidates with interest and experience in fetal MRI or cardiac imaging. Interventional skills are not required. Evidence of scholarship is desirable.
