The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston - McGovern Medical School is seeking faculty members to join a dynamic group of physiatrists in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. In partnership with TIRR Memorial Hermann and Memorial Hermann Hospital System, consistently ranked among the best rehabilitation hospitals by the U.S. News and World Report. The department offers clinical, academic, and administrative opportunities.
Position Key Accountabilities:
- Supporting the further growth of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation clinical
services and programs at Memorial Hermann Hospitals and other facilities
affiliated with UTHealth Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
Clinical and administrative duties
Inpatient and outpatient clinic consultative Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
services as needed
Participating in McGovern Medical School and Hospital committees
Teaching and training medical students, residents, fellows, and other trainees
Providing attending physician on-call service coverage for rehabilitation service
Involvement in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation related academic research,
teaching and other department activities
Board Certified in Physical Medical and Rehabilitation
Texas Medical license or ability to obtain license
Outstanding clinical, interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent administrative and organizational abilities
