McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth), a leading academic health center, invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure clinical track Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Renal Diseases and Hypertension, as a Transplant Nephrologist. The selected candidate will contribute to the department’s mission to educate health science professionals and model the best practices in clinical care through: teaching, clinical service, administrative activities, and other services.
Position Key Accountabilities:
1) Participating in the Nephrology patient care duties supporting transplantation within the hospital (inpatient) and at the clinics (outpatient) at Memorial Hermann Hospital System
2) Participating in the education of residents, fellows, and medical students
3) Supporting the growth and development of clinical and collaborative research
4) Supporting the development of Renal Transplant Fellowship
Candidate should have an M.D. or equivalent degree, completed an AST approved Transplant Fellowship, be eligible for licensure in the state of Texas and be board certified in Nephrology. Experience is preferred but not required.
