UTHealth Houston School of Dentistryinvites applicants for one part-time (.60 FTE) funded, non-tenure, Dentist Anesthesiologist position at the Assistant Professor/Associate Professor level in theBernard and Gloria Pepper Katz Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Position Key Accountabilities:

Responsibilities will include teaching and supervising students and residents in anesthesia and sedation and providing anesthesia services to patients undergoing surgical procedures in University of Texas Health Science Center School of Dentistry clinics and affiliated facilities. Pursuit of scholarly activities and serving on standing and ad-hoc committees is strongly encouraged.


  • Dental degree recognized by the Commission on Dental Education of the American Dental Association, or equivalent

  • Completed formal advanced dental anesthesia training.

  • Current license to practice dentistry or the opportunity to secure a Texas faculty license for dentistry before employment

  • Board certification by the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology (or Board eligibility with Board certification within 5 years of employment as a dentist anesthesiologist).

Academic rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience.
