UTHealth Houston School of Dentistry seeks applicants for two part-time Restorative/Operative (0.5 FTE) salary faculty positions in theDepartment of Restorative Dentistry and Prosthodonticsat the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The positions are available July 01, 2023. Academic rank is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
The School of Dentistry is one of six schools in the most comprehensive health science center in Texas and is located in the heart of theTexas Medical Center,which offers significant resources and important opportunities for collaboration and advanced training.
Position Key Accountabilities:
Providing didactic, pre-clinical, and clinical instruction in Restorative Dentistry and Prosthodontics to undergraduate dental students including dental anatomy and occlusion, direct restorations, indirect fixed and removable restorations, esthetics, implants and digital dentistry.
Conducting research and providing service to the university such as serving on standing and ad-hoc dental school committees.
Qualifications:
DDS/DMD degree.
Prior teaching and/or private practice experience.
Specialization in Orofacial pain and/or Operative dentistry preferred.
Competency in CAD/CAM digital dentistry is preferred.
License to practice dentistry in the State of Texas or practice under a Faculty License through the School of Dentistry.
Experience working or interacting with students, faculty, and staff.
