UTHealth Houston School of Dentistry (UTSD) is the oldest of UTHealth Houston’s six schools and is located in the world-renownedTexas Medical Center. This unique environment offers significant resources, an outstanding patient pool, and exceptional opportunities for education, patient care, and research. The School of Dentistry occupies a state-of-the-art building at 7500 Cambridge Street in UT Research Park. The six-story, 300,000-square-foot facility is attached to The Denton A. Cooley, MD, Ralph C. Cooley, DDS, University Life Center, and the UT Behavioral and Biomedical Sciences Building – home to UTSD’s biomedical science researchers.
Position Key Accountabilities:
Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to providing lectures and clinical instruction in pediatric dentistry to graduate students, conducting research, and providing service to the university such as serving on standing and ad-hoc dental school committees. Intramural faculty practice opportunity is available for eligible candidates. Research with extramural funding, while highly desired, is also not required.
Qualifications:
DDS or DDS/Ph.D. with a specialty certificate and/or MS in pediatric dentistry.
Record of clinical accomplishments.
Eligibility for licensure in the state of Texas or practice under a Faculty License through the School of Dentistry.
Advanced training in Pediatric Dentistry from an accredited US or Canadian specialty residency program and board certification highly preferred.
The position is highly competitive concerning salary. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
