UTHealth EP Heart Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Training Program is looking for an experienced Electrophysiology Clinical Instructor to join our program to train the next generation of cardiac medical device specialists!
Develops, presents and evaluates clinical training and education programs for aspiring Electrophysiology clinical/technical specialists. Analyzes the program format, training materials and implementation to advance health science professionals pursuing a career in the cardiac medical device industry.
Position Key Accountabilities:
Serves as the subject matter expert to develop and deliver program concepts.
Responsible for the design, material development and classroom instruction.
Partners with appropriate faculty and staff to receive necessary program accreditations.
Develops program curriculum and collaborates with faculty and staff when needed.
Develops standards to measure clinical competencies and periodically assesses trainees.
Utilizes simulation equipment and facilitates in-hospital/in-clinic training.
Manages the day-to-day operations of the training program; ensures continuity of training for enrollees.
May manage Human Resources activities of department in regards to: recruiting and selection, hiring and termination, training, professional development, mentoring, counseling, performance evaluations, and salary planning.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Recent experience with the use at least one of the major mapping systems (Carto, Ensite, Rhythmia)
· Industry, Cath Lab, or Clinical experience with Structural Heart procedures/devices will be considered
In depth knowledge of program concepts.
May require program specific certifications and/or skills.
CEPS certification from the IBHRE- Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in related field. Master’s degree in related field preferred.
Five years of program related experience.
Recent experience with the use at least one of the major mapping systems (Carto, Ensite, Rhythmia)- Preferred
Industry or Cath Lab experience preferred
Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
