Position Summary:

UTHealth’s Cognitive HR technology team is

seeking Senior HR data and automation engineer who is energized by the

“employee experience” and leveraging design thinking and journey mapping skills

to transform digital experience across the employee life cycle. Cognitive HR

technology group’s goal is to enable great employee experiences and business

outcomes through insightful data, and service automation; leverage cognitive

and Robotic process automation technology to accelerate performance and meets

the needs of our business and our employees today and tomorrow. In this role,

you will report and partner with passionate leader of Employee services and HR

technology to strategize, road-map and execute Cognitive HR technology

initiatives. This is a game changing role to enable HR to lead in the future of

work and will require you to have a passion for continuous improvement,

creativity, structure, people, self-motivation and influence others to deliver

excellence.

Responsible for design, development, configuration and testing of digital transformation and automation. Leads the data acquisition efforts to support data analytic objectives using data sources across multiple HR Technology systems.

Position Key Accountabilities:

  1. Leads the data acquisition efforts to support data analytic objectives using data sources across multiple IT systems (Peoplesoft, Oracle cloud, Success Factors etc.).

  2. Queries and validates data across multiple data sources with a strong focus on data integrity and security.

  3. Leads the testing and validation of analytic reporting against established metrics to ensure results are consistent, reliable and accurate.

  4. Develops and maintains data source documentation, backup, and recovery procedures as needed.

  5. Oversees and monitors Tableau server connections with responsibility for administering user access and security protocols.

  6. Optimizes processes for data refreshes and cleaning of data; maintains data flows.

  7. Explore opportunities for creating Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).

  8. Discovers new Robotic Process Automation (RPA) opportunities through continued communication with Business Partners.

  9. Creates necessary documentation and coordinate with the HR business partners to gain project approval.

  10. Applies robotic process concepts and Blue Prism functionality to design, build and test automated processes.

  11. Guides requirements discussions with technology and business partners.

  12. Investigates and recommends new process opportunities, assess feasibility, and accurately estimate new processes development time needed.

  13. Responsible for automation scope, process assessment, functional requirements, process definition and process automation.

  14. Partners with internal IT and/or external consultants for large/complex RPA projects.

  15. Works collaboratively with teams to encourage RPA growth and awareness.

  16. Provides overall support across HR Technology and Analytics functional areas as needed

  17. Performs other duties as assigned.

Certification/Skills:

• Adaptive, with proven abilities to effectively partner and engage with cross functional teams and process experts.

Minimum Education:

Bachelor’s degree in statistics, information technology, management information systems or another field that uses quantitative analysis (mathematics, engineering). Master’s preferred.

Minimum Experience:

Seven (7) years of directly related experience including 2 years of experience with RPA solutions such as Blue Prism, UiPath; experience in leading technology implementations/integrations; experience with large enterprise SaaS applications such as Oracle cloud, Oracle Taleo, SAP Success Factors.

Physical Requirements:

Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
