McGovern Medical SchoolatUTHealth Houston, a leading academic health center, invites applications for a full-time, Instructor non-tenure clinical faculty position in theDivision of Medical Geneticsin theDepartment of Pediatrics. The selected candidate will contribute to the department’s mission to educate health science professionals, discover, and translate advances in the biomedical and social sciences, and model the best practices in clinical care and public health through research, teaching, clinical service, administrative activities, and other services.

Position Key Accountabilities:

The Instructor in Pediatrics Medical Genetics responsibilities will include contributing to the clinical and educational programs of the Division of Medical Genetics. The candidate will devote approximately 50% effort to inpatient consults atChildren’s Memorial Hermann Hospital/Memorial Hermann Hospitaland duties with Texas TIPS/OTIS working the helpline.

The Instructor will be expected to participate in all educational activities which include teaching students, residents, and fellows for UTHealth Houston and our affiliated programs withMD Anderson Cancer CenterandHouston Methodist.

Qualifications:

The selected candidate for the position must have a Master’s Degree in Genetic Counseling and be board-eligible or board-certified.
