university departments and teams plus external vendors, constituents, and

Position Key Accountabilities:
Identify influencers and key decision makers inorder to generate interest for research and service offerings
Generates ideas for communication strategies anddevelops related promotional plans, tactics, and materials
Coordination with outside departments to promoteStroke Institution activities
Gathers information through research and interviewswith faculty, staff, donors, patients and other appropriate sources within andoutside UT with face-to-face interactions.
Preparesand submits reports showing growth volumes related to marketing activities,potential areas of recruitment, and plan for intervention.
Participate, develop, and implement integrated recruitmentand marketing strategies in conjunction with department or program goals.
Proactively prospects for new opportunities thatsupport the Stroke Institute’s mission.
Develops, assists with, and updates branding,identity, marketing promotional tools/merchandise, and communications for printand web.
Facilitates design and communication project requestswith internal clients.
Assists with design production, photo/image editing,and document layout/editing.
Writes and/or edits and proofs copy for promotional,event, and collateral materials as needed.
Coordinates community outreach activities and projectswhich could include: scheduling speakers for community events and/or communityspeaking engagements.
Performs other duties as assigned
Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with Microsoft Office required.
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Macintosh OSX preferred.
Proven successful, track records in marketing/sales over a sustained period preferred.
Two (2) years of experience required in branding, marketing, writing, communication arts, and/or graphic design.
Experience preferred in project trafficking or project management at an advertising agency, design firm, or related in-house department.
Experience preferred with implementing and/or promoting institutional or corporate brand standards and brand/identity systems management and engagement programs.
Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
