endeavors as part of the development of the pediatric sleep program.The
Division of Pulmonaryand
Sleep Medicineiscommitted toproviding
practitionerwill have outpatient clinic patient careresponsibilitiesin
at the Texas Medical Center and outlying centers,assist in consultsat various
Hospital locations andotherhospitals, make phone calls to patients’ homes regarding sleep behavioral
and positive airway pressure therapy, assist in development of sleep program
protocols, and contribute to research in pediatric sleep medicine. Our goal is to provide comprehensive and high
quality care in clinic, hospital, and home settings. Candidatesshouldbe

Position Key Accountabilities:
Performs relevant patient assessments and physical examinations.
Coordinates, directs, and implements patient’s plan of care.
May make house calls, follow patient load through hospital and/or clinic episodes, or monitor in-patients in specialized settings other than surgical or acute care.
Orders, conducts, and interprets pertinent laboratory and diagnostic studies and procedures.
Makes medical recommendations and/or referrals.
Formulates, implements, and evaluates an outcome-based treatment plan.
Maintains appropriate records detailing the patient’s treatment plans and outcomes.
Facilitates patient education relating to medical processes, medication, nutrition, and health promotion.
Collaborates with patients, families, other clinicians, and referral services to assist in the patient’s recovery.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Current Texas Licensure as a Registered Nurse
Current Texas Licensure as an APRN-NP, and specialty certification as required by department
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certified or specialty certification as required by department
Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
