Assess, plan, implement and monitor patient nutrition while actively engaging in providing nutritional education, information, services, and guidance to advise patients on food, diet, and nutrition by developing treatment plans.
Position Key Accountabilities:
Performs data collection in cancer patients/survivors using 24-h recall and food frequency questionnaires.
Performs data entry, quality control, and management of 24-h and FFQ data.
Assist with recruitment of study participants and scheduling dietary recalls.
Enter dietary assessment data; conduct quality assurance procedures to ensure high data quality
Assist in protocol development for dietary data collection
Assist with development of educational material and tools for cancer populations
Assist with project documentation, making sure that recruitment/clinical information for patients is accurate, informative and timely, including cancer treatment status and specialized nutrition support as needed (e.g. feeding tube placement).
Participates in nutrition seminars, workshops, etc., to ensure continuing education in various areas of nutrition science.
Registered Dietitian by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
Maintains dietetic registration and continuing education hours as specified by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and state licensure regulations where applicable.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition by an accredited or approved education program.
Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
