The Translational Biomimetic Bioelectronics Lab is looking for a Research Associate to perform research and development of novel neurosurgical and neurotechnology tools. This role requires a breadth of activity typical of biomedical and electrical engineering labs described below.

Neurosurgery - Translational Biomimetic Bioelectronics Lab
Position Key Accountabilities:
Peforms animal surgeries, including neurophysiology (ovine and rodent models)
Analyzes research results (signal processing, machine learning, visualization)
Conducts histology and imaging
Designs and assembles advanced chronic neurophysiology assemblies
Researches new neuroscience methods and develops those methods in our lab
Presents findings and communicates results to PI and lab
Performs other duties as assigned.
Research experience (wet lab, animals, data analysis).
Considerable knowledge in basic and sophisticated equipment.
Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience (or neuroscience focus in another degreed major).
Years of experience varies based on education level. 6 months or more experience working in a research lab (part time or full time) preferred.
Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects. This position may include work involving potentially hazardous chemical, biological or radioactive agents.
