Position Summary:

Provides instructional and program electronic-delivery development support for in-house academic courses, distance education and outreach education efforts. Works independently.

Position Key Accountabilities:

  • Provide instructional design advice to faculty in conversion of courses to electronic delivery.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of basic adult and online learning theories and methods.

  • Design, develop, implement and maintain basic to complex curriculum layouts in electronic formats including advanced authoring software.

  • Facilitate and train faculty and students in the effective uses of basic online/web-based distance-learning technologies for both live interaction and asynchronous learning.

  • Assist with the management of online course in the Canvas Learning Management System.

  • Develop assessments that effectively measure learning objectives and competencies for online courses.

  • Create, distribute, and analyze surveys for feedback on online modules; continuously improve online learning materials to better meet the needs of students.

  • Conducts teaching workshops for faculty to extend the use of all online/web-based distance teaching technologies.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Technology or equivalent required.

  • Master’s degree in Instructional Technology or equivalent preferred.

Minimum Experience:

  • Five (5) years of experience, preferably in instructional design or on-line course management development software.

Physical Requirements:

  • Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
