Location: 1200 Pressler Street
Provides instructional and program electronic-delivery development support for in-house academic courses, distance education and outreach education efforts. Works independently.
Position Key Accountabilities:
Provide instructional design advice to faculty in conversion of courses to electronic delivery.
Demonstrate knowledge of basic adult and online learning theories and methods.
Design, develop, implement and maintain basic to complex curriculum layouts in electronic formats including advanced authoring software.
Facilitate and train faculty and students in the effective uses of basic online/web-based distance-learning technologies for both live interaction and asynchronous learning.
Assist with the management of online course in the Canvas Learning Management System.
Develop assessments that effectively measure learning objectives and competencies for online courses.
Create, distribute, and analyze surveys for feedback on online modules; continuously improve online learning materials to better meet the needs of students.
Conducts teaching workshops for faculty to extend the use of all online/web-based distance teaching technologies.
Other duties as assigned.
MS Office software.
On-line course management development software.
Good interpersonal skills.
Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Technology or equivalent required.
Master’s degree in Instructional Technology or equivalent preferred.
