Position Summary:

Portrays medical illnesses and scenarios as part of training healthcare professionals.

This requisition is open for a Casual/PRN classified non-exempt position. Standardize Patients work as needed, and 5-10 hours a week when availability. You will report to the School of Nursing and Student Community Center @ 6901 Bertner Avenue which is located in the heart of the Texas Medical Center. This location is on both bus and rail service lines from Metro. This requisition is open to hire for August 2021- October 2021.

Position Key Accountabilities:

  1. Serves as a "practice patient" for clinical skills exams and/or procedures.

  2. Provides feedback to learners on the performance of their clinical skills.

  3. This position is project-based and the number of hours worked may vary.

Physical Requirements:

Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
