Position Summary:

Provides professional skills and knowledge in formulating logical statements of business and management problems and provides solutions to problems utilizing more efficient operational procedures and electronic data processing equipment.

This systems analyst role will support the CLI Engage platform. This system supports over 26,000 users throughout Texas. The role will collaborate with the technology team, vendors, system administrators and subject matter experts. This collaboration will have three main objectives: to use requirements to create and conduct test plans and scripts for new functionality, lead response efforts to identify and resolve root causes of incidents, and serve as a liaison between the subject matter experts and the technical teams. Ideal candidates will have experience in testing planning and implementation and incident resolution skills. Provides professional skills and knowledge in formulating logical statements of business and management problems and provides solutions to problems utilizing more efficient operational procedures and electronic data processing equipment.

Position Key Accountabilities:

  1. Analyzes, develops, programs and supports computer systems for new applications and/or modifying current systems to meet client requirements to efficiently utilize data processing resources.

  2. Analyzes requests for computer services from various users to determine feasibility of proposed systems and determine requirements of modifications and enhancements to existing systems.

  3. Designs new systems and enhancements to accurately address user requirements.

  4. Interacts and coordinates with clients/users to enhance comprehension and acceptance of existing systems.

  5. Programs the most critical and complex of the defines programs.

  6. Monitors project implementation and production processing to maximize utilization of new systems and to ensure proper system processing of existing systems.

  7. Installs new software and upgrades to existing software in order to ensure software improvements and enhancements are available.

  8. Provides post-implementation and on-going support to clients/users to ensure that problems are resolved.

  9. Conduct and participates in testing and quality assurance reviews to ensure that programs meet specifications.

  10. Develops program specifications to meet system design objectives and requirements.

  11. Other duties as assigned

Certification/Skills:

Knowledge of computer hardware, software, and programming

Minimum Education:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or relevant experience in lieu of education.

Minimum Experience:

Three years of experience in systems analysis.

Physical Requirements:

Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
