The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, School of Dentistry invites applicants with an advanced education certificate in Pediatric Dentistry to apply for a part-time non-tenure track faculty position in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at the level of assistant or associate professor. The position is available at this time.

The Pediatric Dentistry Department seeks candidates whose experience, teaching, research, and service has prepared them to contribute to its commitment of providing excellent education to our students and highest quality of service to our patients. The ideal candidate will have experience working or interacting with students, faculty and staff from diverse backgrounds and have a commitment to inclusion and equity.

Position Key Accountabilities:

Responsibilities include a wide range of pre-doctoral and post-doctoral education and patient care; didactic, pre-clinical and clinical teaching activities; and clinical supervision of Pediatric Dentistry Residents as well as pre-doctoral students. The position is located at the School of Dentistry and/or offsite clinic locations.

Qualifications

The applicant must hold a DDS/DMD degree or equivalent and be a graduate of an advanced education program in Pediatric Dentistry. Candidates must also be qualified to obtain a license to practice dentistry in the State of Texas or practice under a Faculty License through the School of Dentistry. Priority will be given to Board Certified or eligible applicants with experience in dental education, patient care and administration. Preference will be given to those applicants that are a graduate of an ADA accredited advance education program in Pediatric Dentistry

Academic rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience.
