Financial Analyst (Anesthesiology-Admin)

Provides professional level skills in performing financial analysis for the institution. Completes financial analysis and develops financial forecasts to ensure the institution’s assets are completely maximized.
Position Key Accountabilities:
Analyzes and prepares financial documents and specialized cost studies. Completes financial statements which compare actual and budgeted expenditures and revenues.
Develops and prepares special financial reports. Examines historical and projected financial data to provide senior management with valuable data upon which to make relevant financial decisions.
Manage faculty overtime (capture and payment processing).
Analyzes proposed grants and contract proposals and awards for special conditions/restrictions and establishes controls as needed to ensure full compliance. Adjust budgets dependent upon contract requirements.
Completes financial statements, which compare actual and budgeted expenditures and revenues.
Calculates and analyzes investment performance.
Prepares reports summarizing financial activity.
Prepares long term financing plans and reports for senior management.
development of progress plans with professional organizations relative to the
objective and purpose of grant funding for a particular area of research or
training. Provides assistance to Principal Investigators and their staff to
ensure allowability and allocability available to them by counseling and/or
disseminating information and guidelines of the various granting agencies.
through Sponsored Project Administration (SPA) regarding renewal of
contract/subcontract. Oversees proper close-out of grants and contracts,
including final financial reports to grant agency.
Investigator with post award administration and coordinating. Distributes to Principal Investigators
pertinent information relating to contractual provisions and obligations
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
Three (3) years of related experience in a financial or accounting area.
Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
