UTHealth Houston School of Public Healthinvites applications to fill an open rank tenure-track faculty position in theTexas Medical Center. This position is available within theDepartment of Management, Policy and Community Health. The departmentseeks faculty to lead in simulation modeling the impact of public health policies, such as related to Medicaid eligibility and service coverage. Simulation methods include agent-based modeling, microsimulation, system dynamics modeling, discrete event analysis, Markov modeling, and other dynamic econometric and engineering methods.

Position Key Accountabilities:

Primary responsibilities will be:

(1) Conducting externally funded research focused on health priorities of Texas populations.

(2) Mentoring emerging scholars in simulation modeling techniques.

(3) Teaching in MPH and/or doctoral programs.

(4) Serving in institutional and external capacities.


(1) Ph.D. or DrPH.

(2) Current or potential NIH-, HRSA, or PCORI- funding

(3) History of collegiality and openness to collaboration with a diverse range of partners, including community-based.
